MAGSAYSAY’s fleet partner Gearbulk Norway AS donated 600 doses of Moderna vaccines to the municipality of Odiongan, Romblon. Through Homer Foundation (Homer), MAGSAYSAY's corporate social responsibility arm, the vaccines were successfully turned over last February 12.

Magsaysay along with Homer and Magsaysay Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MAGCOOP), turned over the vaccines to the Odiongan local government unit (LGU). They had a courtesy call with Mayor Trina Firmalo-Fabic before visiting the vaccination site at the town plaza of Odiongan. Moreover, the parties discussed plans of further promoting maritime opportunities to the  Odiongan locals.

The municipality of Odiongan is a remote island with 49, 284 population. The initiative is part of Magsaysay's support to the government's efforts of achieving herd immunity against COVID-19.
